Buttermilk Falls Resort is fortunate to have the rushing picturesque Buttermilk Falls right next door - a favorite with artists and photographers alike. It flows into the lake adjacent to our beach making a perfect fishing spot for bass, lake trout, whitefish and pan fish.

Free resort docking is available if you bring your own boat.

Our beach is clean and safe for children of all ages. The lake slopes gradually - we have a swim platform with a slide and a water trampoline for hours of summer fun.

Boat rentals and atv rentals are available nearby - included at our cottage resort with no extra charge are row boats, canoes, kayak, paddle boat.

Next to the lake, beside the beach we have a wood fired hot tub- great for star gazing on a clear summer nights. There are a total of three hot tubs on the resort.

Our childrens playground is in the shade so children can play for hours. Beside the beach there are hundreds of minnows and tadpoles for the catching with a bucket or net.

Horse shoes, volleyball, shuffleboard are popular with the older set!

There are many attractions in the Haliburton Highlands well worth your visit but most of the time our guests tell us that Buttermilk Falls is so beautiful that they hate to leave so they just relax by the lake!
